SaltWerk is a startup launching TrailGuard, a first-of-its-kind compression calf sleeve with snake, tick, and abrasion protection for trail runners and hikers.
Rugged trails come with real risks. From wildlife and pests to harsh terrain, the outdoors can be tough on your lower legs.
Unexpected encounters are part of the risk of exploring rugged trails.
Trails through grass, brush, and vegetation can bring runners into contact with ticks.
Rocks, branches, and brush can scratch your lower legs. Poison oak can also cause an itchy skin rash after contact.
SaltWërk is a Santa Barbara-based performance brand built by avid runners and hikers who wanted better gear for the trail. Our products combine performance with multi-threat trail protection — snake-resistant materials, permethrin-based tick protection, and abrasion resistance. The goal is simple: more miles, more confidence, more exploration.
